I don’t care what they believe, as long as they don’t start wars and say it’s their God’s will, I have no problem.
@fredurst – you mean like this?:

wow. People are so ignorant. Say that you believe in a God and you are crazy, except of course you are buddhist or hindu or muslim… or something OTHER than Christian. Get a life people.
Only a coward would mock a religion men, women and children have died for.
If you think this is wierd, look at the polygamist branch of Mormons. Polygamy thrives in Colorado City, Arizona, where thousands of American families (10,000 people) are systematically stripped of their democratic rights and women & children are abused. Check out the recent alarming documentary, “Banking on Heaven”. http://www.bankingonheaven.com
Only a moron would consider the mocking of a religion to be cowardly.
I don’t see how this makes Mormons crazier than any other religion. They don’t claim anything much more outlandish than yer common-or-garden creationist.
@Michael:
I think anyone who believes in anything even comparable to “God” is crazy. That 90+% of the world believes doesn’t make it any less so. It’s simply mass delusion. So yes, Mormons are crazy, just like Christians, Muslims, etc.
This video reeks of fail. Animation style reminded me of He-man.
A lot of this is true, but a lot is also stretched truths. Being a former member of this religion I can say that it is only slightly less “crazy” as Scientology.
Now, I view all creationism as far-fetched.
O.K., that was a big dose of crazy. It is somehow disquieting to realise that all those “sincere” young men in their polyester suits, going door to door, are polytheistic sex-cultists.
Creep factor 12
Religion is an idea. Criticizing or ridiculing an idea is the basis of a free society.
I’m a relatively inactive Mormon but I did go to church for quite a few years when i was young. I’ve never heard of the majority of the crazy things in that video.
Then again I never paid tithing so maybe they never told me the good secrets.
I’m a Mormon, and this is NOT true, similiar to much of what is said about our church.
If you care for a real introduction, go here:

I agree, this is no more retarded than any other religion. And the wuss calling us cowards? If I died for gummy bear would I deserve to be mocked? Just because you are dumb enough to die for something does not give that idea any value.
LOL, you hit the nail on the head dude!
Ahhh the old Video from “The God Makers” a film made in the 70’s about the Mormons that is all true, or was true at one point. Problem with this movie is it’s a bit sensationized, You could make a similar video about any religion and it’s mythic elements and get the same results, viewing that religion as creepy.
Problem with this movie now days is that the Mormons have changed so many small things about their religions since the 70’s that not all of this is true anymore and if you asked a Mormon about this today, they would say that most of it is bullshit, even though Mormons did as one point teach the principles in this little movie. (I’m ex Mormon so I’ve studied this)
Calling Mormons “as Crazy” as Scientologists isn’t quite that fair since in reality any religious belief can be viewed as crazy and unbelievable to someone that doesn’t understand it or is of another religion.
The sad truth is that all religion has that fantastic mythical element that render them unbelievable. Whether it’s Xenu, Elohiem, Moses, buddah or Jesus, It’s all pretty much a fantasy.
Jason said: “Only a coward would mock a religion men, women and children have died for.”
Hang on. You’re saying that it would be *cowardly* to mock something that people take so seriously they would die for it? Hmmn. I’m thinking if they would die for it they might also be convinced to kill for it (9/11 anyone?). Wouldn’t mocking something people are prepared to kill for be considered brave? Foolhardy, even. But certainly not cowardly… And sign me up for the mocking, by the way.
In religion, questioning authority = blasphemy, which is why religion’s dogma is, at it’s core, basically ideological totalitarianism. Science is the way out of darkness. Reject nonsense!
this isn’t Mormon-ism it’s some bizzare religon probly Flds not lds
I saw this video a long time ago. It was made by christians to to be presented in Sunday school to deter there children from becoming Mormon. A lot of this is exagerated.
What about the magic underwear? For the love of God, won’t someone explain the magic underwear to me?
hey… I have studied alot of the mormon religion, and was baptised a member. I left the church 3 weeks after I was baptized. there are alot of teachings that you learn over time, as you are not allowed to know everything befor you get baptised. The notion that we were born as spirit babies is a true belief in the church… they call it the pre-existance. And they do teach that you can one day become gods and goddesses, IF you do what you are supposed to do… that principle is called eternal progression. Most of this video is true, I would say 90%.there are some small points that are not true… but for the most part it is all what they teach. If you have mormon missionaries out to your house, you will hear 70% of this info… not the bit about eternal progression though. that comes later.
And as for the magic underwear, they are referred to as “garments” and only very practicing mormons can get them. In fact, you must earn them on earth in order to get to the “celestial kingdom” which is the mormon highest layer of heaven, which are the best on earth, the ones eligible for becomming gods. You must be married to get the “garments” or be a missionary. they look like long white shorts and white t-shirt, and you must wear them all the time under your clothes. (You recieve them in the temple). They have small symbols embroiedered on them, ironically, similar to masonic symbols (wink, wink) and the only time you may take off the garments is to shower, have sex, or go to the doctor, exercise or swim. the garments signify the parts of the body that must be covered for modesty reasons, (but I dont understand why you can show those parts in a swim suit… no one could ever explain that to me…)Mormons dont think they hold any magic, they just think it is a requirement of God. they compare these garments to those of the jews in the old testimant. They also compare their temples to the temple in the old testiment. and mormons do believe in the bible. They think that is has some problems as in that it was changed by man from it’s original form, so they do not see it as perfect, but they do study it. Mormons concider themselves christian, as they believe in Jesus… but mormons think that We were all (every human ever on earth) born of our father in heaven (god) and his many wives. Jesus is our “oldest brother” in the sense we are ALL brothers and sisters. What they say about dark skin is true, that it is a curse of cain, that black people are decended of him. In fact, according to the church, black people could not be allowed in to the temple until the mid 70’s. (remember, you must go to the temple to get to heaven…) However, the church does not teach that God had sex with Mary, and they do not teach that Jesus was ever married or had children. (Although, it is taught that you must be married to get to heaven… under most circumstances, there are exceptions for people who try but never marry). So alot of momons “think” he was married, but it is not official doctrine. there are alot more crazy things that are true about the church, but it is hard to find out as the church surrounds itself in extreme secrecy….
If you had the truth on the origins of mankind, and the truth about God, and the secret of life… would you keep it a secret?
Their beliefs certainly aren`t Biblical. Not by works is someone saved. It is only by the grace of God through faith in the atoning work of Christ on the cross. I believe they are a sincere people but are a deceived people. It is really sad.
THE ETERNAL FIGHT BETWEEN RONBOTS AND RONBOT-HUNTERS WILL NEVER END!
The Scientologists still under the mind control of the anti-God Cult’s Ronbot staff, still have not received full disclosure on the facts that Ex-Scientologists now know about THE GREATEST SCAM ON EARTH!!.
The Ronbots still in the Anti-God Cult are not allowed to question ANYTHING and are not allowed to research anything. Yet they are encouraged under the Fair-Game policy to hurt, harm, sue, slander, attack, hit, abuse, libel, lie, scam, rob, etc. or even kill Ex-Scientologists or their own families who dare to expose the facts and the truth.
These Ronbots—now called ZOMBIES AND SCILONS by the non-ex-scientology public, are used as sacrificial lambs by the Cult to open groundless and frivolous lawsuits only designed to destroy and make the ex-Scientologists and the public afraid to expose them.
But “Ronbot Hunters” are now learning the UCC and Common law remedies to stop and destroy the Godless Ronbots — who allowed un-ethical lawsuits to be made in their names.
The Ronbots use the anti-God “Fair-Game” policy to destroy Ex-Scientologists, innocent mothers and fathers and now Ronbot Hunters are learning to use the Constitution and Commercial remedies, contract laws and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) to protect their rights.
THE ETERNAL FIGHT OF GOOD VS. EVIL HAS A NEW FACE.
The fact that fanatical Ronbots are not allowed to read what they will or desire, tells you that the Cult fears knowledge of the truth.
But the truth can only be exposed by “the statements of the majority”, with personal first hand knowledge of Scientology.
Since Ronbots never know all the facts, their statements in defense of the Cult is biased, because they are prohibited from research of the facts – their opinions are also invalid.
To learn the truth — you must learn what the MAJORITY of free-minded Ex-Scientologists claim.
They claim this well known fact—that the Church of Scientology is a GODLESS CULT.
They also claim that the Study technology of Dianetics was stolen from two laws of nature. Physiological Reactions and the laws of Cause and Effect.
This evil anti-god cult has its own Navy and armed bases, CIA type agencies, saboteurs, assassins, bullies to hit and set you up, infiltrators and spies in other churches and in the government. They have brain-washed Ronbots with weapons of mass destruction (fully automatic) just ready to blow you away. They are dangerous to all mankind and to all real religions of the world.
Do not fear to learn what both sides have to say on any issue. Always seek full disclosure on everything.
Read what Ex-Scientologists have to say, find out what the MAJORITY CLAIMS.
Find the truth and never allow others to tell you what to think, do or say. Always seek out the truth — even if you will be fired or kicked-out from the Cult.
Don’t be a ZOMBIE – use your own self-determinism –dare to demand the truth!!!
FREEDON OF RELIGION — IS ALSO FREEDOM TO LEARN THE TRUTH.
Sincerely yours,
Ronbothunter

i think that the video shown was all propaganda rubbish.i was a member of the church for ten years and it was only when i left that i realised how awful and hard the world is outside, promoting sex, glorifying drugs and their users, kids dressed like whores, crime, abortion etc.you are protected from things like this in the church.noone forces it upon anyone,it is our own choice.i am now going back to church as i do not like the way i was when i left.i have met many good people in the church and never once have i been subject to any harm from them.we are hurting noone,we are not killing anyone and we are not forcing the gospel on anyone.if people wish to attack our religion it is through their own ignorance and lack of education and understanding.
This is total BS. I was raised in the LDS church. I may not follow that religion now, but I hate to see misinformation spread.
I don’t recall being taught anything about other gods, god-wives, other planets, etc. And I was a member for 15 years!
To the Mormon saying this is all a lie — What? Yeah, it’s a four minute version of what Mormon’s believe, so the details could certainly be expanded, but everything here has been taught as doctrine by the Mormon church at one time or another. I know, because I was a Mormon (and even served a mission). What here do you think is a lie? Kolob? God having multiple wives? The council in heaven? Blacks being cursed? Joseph smith sitting on the judgement seat with Christ and God? Mary being impregrated by God himself? All of these things have been taught by high curch officials as doctrine, and most of them are still popular Mormon beliefs. The church changes it’s official standing on some points as they fall out of fashion, that’s all.
