years ago while visiting Guatemala I got stung by a caterpillar that made me feel the worst pain I have ever felt before, I think might have been allergic to the sucker.

The really fuzzy one (7th one from bottom) stings the crap out of you. I found a brown one in my yard a few years ago, those little tufts of ‘fur’ are little stingers.
